International Conference on Applied Business and Economics (ICABE) is being held during October every year, started since 2007, being a gathering place for academics and professionals from related fields from all over the world.
The main goal of the ICABE is to provide an opportunity for academics and professionals from a variety of fields to meet and exchange ideas and expertise. An additional goal of the ICABE is to provide a place for academics and professionals with inter-disciplinary interests related to business-economics to interact with members within and outside their own particular disciplines.

• ICABE 2013
International Conference on Applied Business and Economics (ICABE) was held from Wednesday, October 2nd to Friday, October 4th, 2013 at the City University of New York, Manhattan, 10th Av at 58th Str., John Jay College of Criminal Justice. The ICABE 2013 was co-sponsored by the Center for International Human Rights of John Jay College of Criminal Justice, CUNY and was the gathering place for academics and professionals from related fields from all over the world. The ICABE 2013 main theme was: “The Role of Financial Accountability and Transparency in Economic Activities” aiming to address the issues that arise from financial speculation and limited disclosure to the built up of a Financial and Economic crisis. Special sessions for graduate students (MSc and Ph.D candidates, with 35% discount in the registration fee) had been scheduled during the last day of the Conference with 3 of the best papers to be published for FREE in one of the 12 international journals participating in the conference according to the publishing requirements of each journal.
• ICABE 2012
From Thursday, October 11 to Saturday, October 13, 2012 the annual International Conference International Conference on Applied Business and Economics was held to the University of Cyprus’ excellent new facilities in Nicosia. The conference was crowned with complete success as many important academic papers were presented. Extremely important were also the keynote speakers’ presentations which had much to offer to the general discussion on the current challenges that the EU and the global economy face. Special mention has to be made at Prof. Panagiotis Roumeliotis speech on both the developments that led Greece to the IMF and EU’s future. Moreover, on Wednesday October 10 a special event, embedded in the Conference, took place in Limassol during which the first part of a research project on the Greek Maritime Cluster was presented. This is related to a scientific monograph prepared by faculty members and researchers of the Department of Maritie Studies of the University of Piraeus under the supervision of Prof. Eleftherios Thalassinos (conference organizers) who serves the University of Piraeus in 1984.

ΙCABE 2011 was held from the 19th of September till the 1st of October 2011 at the University of Piraeus, Piraeus, Greece. Selected papers have been published in the following journals:
